What the FY 2083/84 Shrawan numbers mean
The first monthly release shows stronger merchandise trade on both sides of the account. Export growth is faster in percentage terms, but Nepal still imports substantially more than it exports: imports represented 82.89% of total merchandise trade and were 4.84 times the value of exports.
The large soybean-oil values on both the import and export side are important when interpreting the headline figures. Product-level composition can change quickly across monthly releases, so TradePulse treats each release as a current snapshot rather than a prediction of the full fiscal year.
