Nepal import and export data
The headline position for Shrawan FY 2083/84, with a clear bridge into product, country and route-level analysis.
What the latest release shows
In the first month of FY 2083/84, Nepal imported approximately Rs 187.44 billion of goods and exported Rs 38.70 billion. Total foreign trade reached about Rs 226.15 billion.
The resulting merchandise trade deficit was approximately Rs 148.74 billion. Imports were about 4.84 times exports and accounted for 82.89% of total foreign trade.
Exports grew faster than imports year on year, but the import base remains much larger, so the trade deficit still widened in rupee terms.
